Toad Hall Nursery Group Earns Food for Life Silver Certification
We are delighted to announce we have earned the Food for Life Served Here Silver certification from the Soil Association for providing healthy and sustainable meals across our 12 sites.

Our nursery chefs freshly prepare each certified meal, using ingredients that are free from additives, artificial trans fats, and GM ingredients. The meat served is fully traceable back to the farm and meets or exceeds UK animal welfare standards. Eggs are free-range, fish is sustainably sourced, and our menus feature seasonal ingredients, all contributing to a reduced environmental impact.
The Food for Life Served Here certification recognises and celebrates our commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and cooking from scratch.
“Our team is incredibly proud to have achieved the Silver award at Toad Hall Nurseries,” said Head Chef Kayleigh Forest Foster. “We serve five nutritious meals daily, using fresh, local produce from our partner Creed, known for their commitment to ethical and environmentally friendly practices.”
Our nurseries are currently enjoying the delicious Autumn/Winter menu, perfect for the cooler, shorter days. Seasonal offerings include hearty dishes like Beef & Butternut Squash Stew with Mash, Fish Pie with Gnocchi and Greens, and a comforting Mixed Berry Crumble.
